Just arrived in Austin for SxSW! Come check us out tonight and later in the week. We put the dates on wakeywakeymusic.com. Being in Austin and seeing all this BBQ around made me think of our first night on the Blunt tour where we found this awesome burger spot in Glasgow. Tanya took this photo.

We have a ton of great photos from tour, but because of spotty wifi were unable to post them. Now that we’re home, I’ll try to post one a day for a while. This is Matt, who has played drums with us on all of our shows in the UK wearing accidental camo. We call it- “Where’s Matt?!?!”

The Netherlands, here we come!

Mike from Wakey!Wakey! speaks to the Dutch fans who have recently sprung into action to try to bring the band to the Netherlands! They have already gotten two radio stations to spin the songs. Super fans Tim and Marlous decided to take their efforts to the next level and they started the fan organization Team Family NL to get Wakey!Wakey! played on Dutch radio, written about in Dutch press and over there to play a concert. And they told us they will be doing the same for Casey Shea’s and Pearl and the Beard’s upcoming new albums! Yay fan power! Check out their new (and still bare) Tumblr here. Our fans really are the best!

James Blunt surprised Mike of Wakey!Wakey! on stage last night with a birthday cake and had all 3,500 folks in the audience loudly, and quite beautifully, sing Happy Birthday. A special moment! Photo by Jason Williamson.

The UK audiences have been so incredible to us on this tour with James Blunt – so incredible that we ran out of CDs after a few shows! So, we have had a small set of limited edition albums made at the last minute and they’re available for the next few shows only!

This is a picture of the music room at Glasgow’s ‘House for an Art Lover’. It’s this amazing house in a park that was by our hotel. I went by myself the morning of our first show of the tour. It was very moving and I highly recommend it.

This is where we’re playing tonight in Scotland. It’s sold out and at least 4 times larger than our biggest sold out show ever. James Blunt is the nicest guy in the world. We’re so flattered he’s invited us to travel the whole UK with him. More updates to come.
